Twenty years in the Epicor ecosystem. Now I am connecting it to AI.
Cutova grounds the AI assistants your team already uses in real Epicor data and real Epicor logic. I am Jose C Gomez. I built it because I knew how, and I knew what it could do. For a team that runs on Epicor, it is a game changer.
Operator and builder, both.
I have worked with Epicor, now Kinetic, for more than 20 years, and not from the sidelines. As a former consultant I have been part of dozens of implementations over my career, and today I own the ERP platform at my day job, where we are rolling it out across 41 plants and 8 companies worldwide. I have lived with every decision an ERP forces on a real business. I am a co-founder of EpiUsers, the premier peer support forum for Epicor applications, with more than 10,000 members. I hold a master's degree in software engineering and teach as an Adjunct Professor of Computing at the University of North Florida.
Tools the Epicor community already uses.
I have been building Epicor tools in the open since 2010, and people use them every day.
The Epicor REST API libraries
My Epicor REST libraries include EpicorRestAPI and EpicorRESTAPICore on NuGet, plus epicor-rest-node and epicor-rest-ng on npm, for .NET, Node and Angular. They support applications built around Epicor’s REST APIs.
NuGet · npmEpicor Customization Editor
A Visual Studio Code extension, published on the Marketplace, with a companion helper. It lets developers edit Epicor customizations in a real editor instead of the built-in one.
VS CodeEpicor SSRS Migration Tool
Moves custom SSRS reports between Epicor environments, servers and folders, and re-points their data sources automatically. It turns a tedious manual job into one step, from Epicor ERP 10 to Kinetic.
SSRSThe standard finally arrived.
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard that lets AI assistants talk to business systems like Epicor safely. The moment it arrived, the opportunity belonged to whoever already knew both sides: the assistants and the ERP. I know how Epicor really works: the business objects, the Functions, the BAQs, the customizations, the way a real plant actually runs. Cutova gives the assistant your Epicor data and logic to work from. You review the results before relying on them.
New company. Not a new engineer.
Lens Software LLC is new, based in Jacksonville, Florida, and it is one person: me. Every feature and decision in Cutova is mine, drawn from the same two decades of deploying, customizing and supporting Epicor. The company is young. The experience behind it is not.
This isn't a weekend AI prototype. Every part of Cutova was designed with a purpose, then reviewed and tested. I have been building it for more than a year and a half, and it has run in production for months: at my day job, and with a handful of select partners who put it to real work.
See Cutova work against a real Epicor system, or just reach out. I answer my own email.
