Get your instance’s MCP URL from your administrator or Connect a client in the console. See connection prerequisites and sign-in before starting.
These screenshots show the Plugins interface provided in September 2026. Available options can depend on your account and workspace permissions. If your interface differs or you cannot add a plugin, ask your workspace administrator which setup path is available.
1. Open Plugins
Section titled “1. Open Plugins”Select Plugins in the ChatGPT sidebar.

Click the + button beside the plugin search box.

2. Create the plugin
Section titled “2. Create the plugin”In New Plugin:
- Enter a name such as Cutova MCP for Epicor Kinetic. The description and icon are optional.
- Choose Server URL and paste the complete MCP URL for your instance. The
ABCDquick code shown below is an example. - Set Authentication to OAuth. Use the discovered settings; this flow does not require manually entering OAuth endpoints.
- Read the custom MCP server notice. If you recognize and trust the server you are adding, select I understand and want to continue.
- Click Create.

3. Sign in and authorize
Section titled “3. Sign in and authorize”Click Sign in with Cutova MCP for Epicor Kinetic. The button uses the name you gave the plugin.

Sign in to your own Epicor environment using your normal sign-in method. Your environment may show a different sign-in screen.

On the Epicor MCP Auth screen, review the notice and click Authorize.

Next, Cutova shows Authorize access to Epicor. Check the signed-in user, environment, application and destination. For this connection, the application is ChatGPT and the destination shown is https://chatgpt.com. If those details match the connection you started, click Allow access.

4. Check the available actions
Section titled “4. Check the available actions”Return to the plugin’s settings in ChatGPT. Confirm that the connection and its Actions are listed. Your action list depends on the tools enabled for your instance; it may differ from this example.

5. Try a first question
Section titled “5. Try a first question”Open a new chat and ask a question supported by your installed tools. For example, if your instance has business reporting tools, you can ask How is my business doing today?

For a bounded first check with a known tool, follow your first tool call.
